Denver Animal Hospital was founded in 1997 by Dr. Berman, a 1983 graduate of Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.  He also holds an Masters Degree in Animal Nutrition from Colorado State University and a Bachelors Degree in Zoology from the University of Massachusettes.

As a resident of the Washington Park neighborhood, Dr. Berman's goal in founding Denver Animal Hospital was to establish a "neighborhood practice" which would provide him close proximity to client and patients which he believes is instrumental in establishing a solid,  long term doctor/patient relationship.  Prior to establishing Denver Animal Hospital, Dr. Berman owned and operated for several years, Homevet,  an exclusive, house call only Denver neighborhood practice. House calls are still part of the Denver Animal Hospital philosophy of maintaining a close relationship between veterinarian and patient, especially in the area of hospice care.

Dr. Lynn DʼAgostino joined Denver Animal Hospital as a part-time associate in 2010.  Lynnʼs lifelong love for animals originally focused on wildlife as she entered Coloradoʼs State Universityʼs wildlife biology program.  But after a summer job at a veterinary hospital, she soon found her true calling.  Lynn graduated from Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1986 and has been practicing in the Denver area ever since.  At CSU, she was the recipient of the “Gentle Doctor Award” and has been named by her clients to Morris Animal Foundationʼs Veterinary Honor Roll.  Her professional interests include pain management, dentistry, and client education.  She thoroughly enjoys helping people understand the “hows” and “whys” of their petʼs
health.  She lives with her husband, Andy, and their wild, little French Brittany Spaniel, Maggie.  Lynn also enjoys travel, cycling, mountain biking, and photography.

Karissa Wiseman has been working as Dr. Berman's technician for the past 5 years.  She is a 2006 graduate with honors of PIMA Medical Institute.  She has a great relationship with the clients and patients at Denver Animal Hospital and is very approachable when it comes to the health of your pets.  The thing she loves the most about working at Denver Animal Hospital is the warm, homey environment you feel when you walk in the door.  If you have any technical questions regarding your pet please don't hesitate to call!

I have lived in Colorado for 20 years originally from Wisconsin.  I have a deep connection to the mountains & spend most of my free time there with camping, snowboarding, dirt biking & hiking.  I have two dogs whom are my heart & soul. I also enjoy riding on my husband's Harley & am learning to ride myself!

Howdy! As the most recent addition to the team here at Denver Animal Hospital, I would like to introduce myself….

I grew up in a small farming community on the Eastern Plains of Colorado. At the age of five, I discovered my love for animals, especially my orange tabby cat, Taffy. Her sweet face, gentle purr, and unconditional love that her and I shared for each other, was the best gift I have ever known. Living to the ripe ol’ age of 17, Taffy has joined her friends in that great mouse-field in the sky. The affection and love that I see here at the Denver Animal Hospital for each and every animal is reflected in the care we provide for our four-legged family members.

As a recent graduate of Pima Medical Institute, I received a 3.86 GPA, completed my internship here at the Denver Animal Hospital, and was excited to accept a position as a valuable team member of this great neighborhood clinic.

I am looking forward to meeting each and every one of you, and providing exceptional care to your furry friends!
